Welcome them home

Visit our Mooi River shelter to spend time with our animals and see who connects with your family.

We conduct a brief, friendly visit to ensure your yard is secure and suited to your new pet's needs.

Once approved, pay the simple adoption fee and bring your new family member home.

Adoption Fees

To ensure a safe transition, we ask that you own your property or provide landlord consent, have a fully fenced garden, and agree to our standard home check.

Our single adoption fee is straightforward and covers essential veterinary care before your pet leaves our gates. We do not charge hidden admin fees.

Answers to common questions

Are the animals vaccinated?

Yes, every animal is fully vaccinated, dewormed, and sterilized. Puppies and kittens too young for sterilization are adopted with a voucher to complete it at our expense.

Can I bring my current dog to meet them?

We highly encourage meet-and-greets at our Mooi River shelter. It is the best way to ensure your current dogs and your potential new pet are compatible.

How can I pay the fee?

We accept secure EFT payments, card payments at our main office, or direct cash deposits. Every cent of the fee goes directly toward the care of our animals.

How long does the process take?

Can I adopt if I live in a flat?

What if the pet doesn't settle?

The entire process typically takes between 3 to 7 days, allowing our team sufficient time to complete the friendly home visit and prepare your pet's veterinary clearance.

We consider adoptions for flats on an individual basis, provided the body corporate rules explicitly permit pets and the animal's energy level matches a smaller space.

Our team offers dedicated post-adoption support to help your pet settle. If the placement truly does not work out, they will always have a safe place back with us.
